June, I made a portable Hot Wheels “track” for my son to take on trips. Those who saw him play with it in the hotel lobby convinced me to enter in the Art Show. I am honored to have received First Place in the Functional Arts category. Throughout the week, Parade attendees can visit the Art Show and vote for their favorite pieces. The Porsche family also chooses their favorite piece of art. I am truly humbled to have received the Porsche Family Award of Excellence from Dr. Wolf- gang Porsche for my Art Show entry.
For the creative member of the Kansas City Region, I encourage you to put your talents to use and consider entering your artwork in next year’s Parade Art Show.
Tuesday kicked off with the annual TSD Rally and Day 1 of Autocross. I would love to tell you that I participated in these events, but I participated in another Parade tradi- tion: Ladies Who Lunch. My favorite thing about Parade is the friendships I have made by participating. Parade truly embodies the club’s mantra of “it’s the people”. Each year, several ladies get together to explore the host city and enjoy lunch. One member of our group was not with us this year, as she was at home with a 4-week-old baby girl. But it is of cial: we are now three generations of Porsche women.
Tuesday continued with a drive and com- pare, hosted by Michelin, where 718 Boxster S cars were  tted with brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S N tires and competition tires. These tires are not yet available in the U.S. – we were the  rst ones to test them out.
Tuesday also included the RC Car Compe- tition and the ice cream social.
Tuesday evening marked the Concours d’Elegance banquet. Not only were win- ning cars recognized, PCA’s highest honors were also awarded. The Glenn Lazar-Harry Blanchard Memorial Trophy for Enthusiast of the Year was presented to Klaus Hushke, of the Inland Northwest Region. The Porsche
