The continuing coronavirus pandemic will complicate this flu season. It is more important than
ever to be vaccinated. Lisa Maragakis, senior director of infection prevention for Johns Hopkins
Health System, offers insights here on what to keep in mind as you prepare for the fall and
        winter flu season.

There are 3 options remaining for employees to receive a free flu vaccination:
           • On-campus vaccination clinics. Occupational health services (OHS) will manage the
on-site vaccination program and Walgreens pharmacists will administer the vaccinations.

           • Walk-In Vaccination Clinics:
                   o November 10 and 11

                   o 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
o Medicine Education Center (next to the Harrison Medical Library)
           • Any Walgreens pharmacy in the United States. Employees must present

a voucher and a Johns Hopkins ID badge. If you're working remotely, we encourage you
to get your vaccination at a Walgreens retail location. Complete this vaccination form,
and bring both with you. (Note: The voucher is not accessible from an Internet Explorer
browser. Also, high dose vaccine for 65+ is not available using a voucher.) Vaccination at
Walgreens stores is not currently offered to volunteers or vendors.
           • Walgreens Voucher Process:
o To obtain a voucher, employees must be logged in with their JHED ID and
                      password.
o Go to https://ivv.tic.jh.edu/. Your unique voucher should appear.

o Bring voucher and ID to any Walgreens retail location.
o Employees using vouchers are still encouraged to submit proof of immunization
online to OHS to avoid any delays in reporting.
        • Another retailer or doctor’s office. Even if it is a Johns Hopkins Community Physicians
office, you or someone on your behalf must submit proof of immunization online to OHS. If
you do not receive an email confirmation, contact ohsclinic@jhmi.edu.

Thank you for your cooperation with this important safety initiative.
