The formula for preparation of zinc and coal tar paste is the following:

Method of preparation:
1. Melt the emulsifying wax at 70 °C.
2. Add the coal tar and half of the soft paraffin
3. Stirr the mixture at 70 °C until melted.
4. Add the remaining soft paraffin
5. Allow the preparation to cool to 30 °C.
6. Finally, add zinc oxide and starch with constant stirring until cold.
