peared into the bushes.

Molly ran into the bushes after Jed. She saw Jed looking

at something lying in the tall grass. “What is it Jed?”

asked Molly, as she went up beside him. She looked in the

grass and saw a beautiful little goat kid. “How did it get

here? Is it alive?” asked Molly anxiously. “Yes he is

alive”, said Jed. “I think he needs some milk”. “Let us go

and get Farmer Brown”, said Molly. “He will know what to

do”. “I will go and get him”, said Jed. “You can stay with

the little kid”.
