As Jed ran off to get Farmer Brown, Molly gently

rubbed her face on the kid’s head. The little kid looked

up and made a soft sound. Molly lay beside the little kid

and the kid put his head on Molly.

Soon they heard Farmer Brown coming into the bush. “Hi

Molly, what are you doing in here?” Molly got up and

Farmer Brown saw the kid. “You found a little kid”, said

Farmer Brown. “It must belong to one of Ms. Betty’s

goat. I guess she did not know that the goat had a kid”.

“Well Molly and Jed we will have to take this kid home

and care for it”. So Farmer Brow took up the kid and

walked out of the bushes. Molly and Jed followed Farmer

Brown back to the farm yard. Farmer Brown put the kid

under the big mango tree and went into the house.
