4.  BEST PRACTICES
                              ➢  Cite as many as you can on Parameter B (Student Welfare).

                                 ✓   Subscription to OPAC by the University library makes it easy and convenient for
                                     students  to  do  library  works,  from  Monday  to  Saturday  to  accommodate
                                     graduates’ students.
                                 ✓  The Incoming Freshmen and transferees are accommodated properly and
                                     immediately for admission and enrollment process.
                                 ✓  There is a regular Orientation Program for  students.
                                 ✓  The Student Handbook is duly approved by the BOR and undergoes periodic
                                     review and revision.
                                 ✓  The Student Handbook contains legal documents as appendix (e.g. RA 9262
                                     (Anti Violence Against Women & Children); Anti-Bullying Act; Guidelines on
                                     Drug Abuse Prevention and Control; RA 7877 (Anti Sexual Harassment Act);
                                     RA 9442 (Provisions on Public Ridicule and Vilification against persons with
                                     disability) aside from all the rules and regulations of the University.
                                 ✓  There are seminars provided for the students sponsored by the Guidance
                                     Counseling Unit
                                 ✓  Counseling service is provided to students who voluntarily seek help for
                                     personal, academic and family concerns.
                                 ✓  Departmental Activities were conducted as part of the Economic Enterprise
                                     Development.


                       PARAMETER C – STUDENT DEVELOPMENT


                       1.  SYSTEM-INPUTS AND PROCESSES
                              ➢  Present institutional policies and guidelines on recognition, accreditation,
                                 monitoring and evaluation of student organizations/projects and activities.


                             GENERAL POLICIES AND GUIDELINES ON STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
                          The University strongly adheres to a credible, competent, and responsive leadership. For
                   this purpose, the students are encouraged to organize and actively participate in any or several duly
                   recognized students’ organizations.

                          The Student Organization Unit of the Office of Student Services serves as the coordinating
                   center of the  University.  The specific policies  and guidelines promulgated  governing student
                   organizations form part of Appendix A of the Student Handbook.

                   Establishment and Operation

                          The establishment and operation of any student organization in the campus, or in the
                   colleges/departments are governed by the rules and regulations of the Office of Student Affairs and
                   Services such as the following:
