Tolerance and sensitivity of the locals towards the sloth bear living in the study
area is understood and based on the outreach awareness campaigns are
organized. Increasing the tolerance for the sloth bear and developing positive
attitudes will lead us to the conservation of the sloth bear. For this Conservation
Outreach center and children education programmes in the school of tribal
villages in and around the sloth bear habitats have been initiated. Children's
education programmes include showing documentaries, animation films, short
presentations, and distributing educational posters, pocket booklets, activity
booklets, and comic stories about sloth bears.
