Why did you choose a career in Engineering?
Growing up I knew that I liked math and science and wanted to
impact the world, so I decided to pursue an engineering degree
in college.
What is your education and/or specialized training background?
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering and Master’s
of Science in Civil Engineering specializing in Hydraulics and
Hydrodynamics from the University of Washington.
What has been your favorite Carollo project so far and why?

My favorite Carollo project so far is the Portland Water Bureau Bull
Run Filtration Facility design. I was able to be a part of the project
from pre-design until we submitted the 100% design a few months
ago and getting to see a treatment plant go from an idea to a full
design was really fulfilling.

What advice do you have for other employees preparing for their
PE Exam?
My advice would be to book the exam first then start studying for
it, and to study with someone else to keep you accountable. Also
familiarize yourself with the reference manual and roughly where
each topic is.
