total procurement of goods & services from MSEs.
59. PROCUREMENT OF GOODS & SERVICES THROUGH GEM
Total procurement made from GeM is ` 1.43 Crore Percentage of Procurement
made from MSEs through GeM is 73.4% thus saved ` 0.32 Crore.
60. DISCLOSURE UNDER SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE
(PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013
Corporation prohibits any kind of act of sexual harassment at work place and
included the acts amounting to sexual harassment at workplace in its Conduct
Rules and Certied Standing Order and Discipline and Appeal Rules, 2001 [as
certied on 06-02-2001 by the Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Mumbai
under Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946] so as to prohibit any
such Act. Corporation constituted an Internal Complaints Committees at
Corporate Ofce, Belapur and Regional Ofces at Ratnagiri and Karwar to receive
and investigate complaints related to “Sexual harassment at workplace”
following the guidelines issued by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Visakha Vs.
State of Rajasthan. A Special Counsellor is also appointed at Corporate Ofce.
During the year 2 nos. of cases led and 2 nos. of cases disposed under the
Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and
Redressal) Act, 2013. Pursuant to Rule 8(5) (x) of the Companies (Accounts)
Rules, 2014, it is declared that the Corporation has complied with provisions
relating to the constitution of Internal Complaints Committee under the Sexual
Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act,
2013.
61. MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION & ANALYSIS REPORT
61.1 Industry Structure and Development
The core business activity of the Corporation is transportation of passengers and
goods by rail and providing various related logistic supports. The Railway
transportation in India is reserved for the Public Sector. The second major core
activity of the Corporation is undertaking of construction projects by utilizing its
vast experience in engineering and management skills available with the
Corporation in construction of tunnels and bridges.
