To pretend to be soldiers in a marching band and mime getting dressed
Dance aims
Balance & Control
To improve balance and control through playing a game that includes stopping and moving and through marching on tippy toes
Motor Skills
To improve fine motor skills through gripping onto an egg shaker, manipulative skills through shaking it and locomotor skills through regular marching, marching up high on tippy toes and marching down low with legs bent
Spatial Awareness
To negotiate the space while marching around the room by adjusting speed and direction to avoid obstacles (including other children)
Strength and Fitness
To improve cardio fitness through performing a high energy activity and leg strength through marching down low with bent legs and up high on tippy toes
