(spoken) In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... (hold up the fingers of one hand and hide them away one at a time)
...BLAST OFF! (jump up high)
Next, tell the children that you’re all going to get into “old, slow rocket ships”. Perform the song again slowly. Then tell the children that you’re going to get into “super fast rocket ships”. Perform the song again quickly.
NB: Put on an ‘astronaut’ voice for the countdown to add to the excitement and make the children laugh! Please ensure your ‘astronaut voice’ isn’t automatically male. *Running time approx. 3 mins.

Helicopter = make a propeller action above your head using both arms as you make a helicopter sound
Stunt plane = arms straight and stretched out diagonally to be the plane wings and spin around as you say “Whee!”
Rocket = bend down as you say “three, two, one” then jump up like a rocket as you say “blast off!”
Jumbo jet = arms stretched out to be the plane wings and sway from side to side to the pulse as you sing ‘A jumbo jet, a jumbo jet’ (tune of ‘A Big Red Bus’, the action song from last week’s lesson)
Turbulence = hug a friend or two and wobble as you scream “ahh!” *Running time approx. 3 mins.
9. Travel back to the real world and give out magic sparkles
