a) “What’s in this picture?”
b) “Where can we buy robots and other toys?”
c) “Let’s all say ‘Hello humans’ after three using our best robot voices.” Everyone says,
“Hello humans,” and does a matching robot action after three.
d) “Here I have an invisible toy box (mime). Put your hand up if you would like to reach into my toy box and pull something out.” Choose a volunteer to mime pulling a toy out of the toy box and ask them what it is. You mime playing with the suggested toy (using upper body) and the children copy you. Repeat using ideas
from three more volunteers.

5. Action song or poem: ‘Let’s All Go to Toyland’ written by Lucy Milan Davis Stand up and say the poem with the following actions.

Let’s all go to Toyland today, (as above)
And see what’s on display. (hand to forehead looking left to right)
“Now everyone look around and put your hand up if you’d like to tell me what you can see in Toyland.” Choose a volunteer to answer. Everyone acts out picking up and playing with the suggested toy. Repeat several times. Encourage the children to join in with the words (as well as the actions) on the third repeat of the poem.
