Lesson plan
1. Warm-up: ‘Shake Your Sillies Out’ performed by The Wiggles
Play the track and perform actions as indicated by the lyrics. Make sure to use lots of energy!

2. Focus activity: Name Game

4. Introduce the theme
“Let’s take a look in the sparkly magic bag and see what clue there is for today’s story.” Take out the picture of the little girl brushing her teeth. Ask the children the following questions.
a) “What is the little girl doing in this picture?”
b) “What sound do you make when you brush your teeth?” Everyone acts out brushing
their teeth at the same time.
c) “When do we brush our teeth?”
d) Ask a volunteer to tell everyone something else they do in the morning to get ready
for the day. Give some suggestions (e.g. get dressed, brush hair, wash face, eat breakfast etc.) if necessary. You act out performing the suggested activity (using upper body) and the children copy you. Repeat using suggestions from three more volunteers.

5. Action song or poem: ‘Brush Your Teeth’ (traditional)
Sing the song as you perform the following actions. Click fingers on the off beat for the first two lines of each verse. Also hold up correct number of fingers to represent the time as you say “one”, “two”, “three” etc. Pretend to brush your teeth for lines three and four.
