Props Required
- Princess costume
- Music player and speaker
- Sparkly magic bag
- A magic wand for each girl
- A foam sword for each boy
* Bring a couple of extras as some boys may want wands and some girls may want swords.
- Parachute (size will depend on number of children)
- Up to 20 soft toys and/or finger puppets
- An egg shaker for each child
- Tiara
- Dragon or crocodile puppet
- Parcel for PTP (if requested)
- A coloured scarf for each child
- Birthday card
- Bubbles
- Haribo treat for each child
- Magic sparkles
- Party flyers
- Camera (e.g. on your phone)
- Glitter tattoo kit (if requested)
When handing out props (for example scarves) always sing “Time to hand out the scarves, the scarves, the scarves. Time to hand out the scarves at insert birthday child’s name’s party,” to the traditional tune of ‘Here We Go ‘Round the Mulberry Bush’. 1. INTRODUCTION
3-4s: “Hi everyone. Firstly let’s all say thank you to Child’s Name for inviting us to his/her birthday party by giving him/her a great big round of applause! My name is Elsa/Anna/Rapunzel/Cinderella/Aurora (name of princess you are dressed as) and today I’m going to teach you all about princesses. Everyone who joins in will get some magic sparkles and a Haribo treat. But before we begin, we’ve got to shake our sillies out!”
5-6s: “Hi everyone. Firstly let’s all say thank you to Child’s Name for inviting us to his/her birthday party by giving him/her a great big round of applause! My name is Your Name Sparkles and you can remember my name because I have a sparkly magic bag and at the end everyone who joins in will get some magic sparkles and a Haribo treat. Does anyone know who I’m dressed as? That’s because today we’re going to learn all about princesses. But before we begin, we’ve got to shake our sillies out!”
