take the cake out of the oven, mime putting candles on it and all sing the traditional ‘Happy birthday’ song. It’s a magic cake so tell the birthday child to “blow out your candles and make a wish!”

21. GIVE THE BIRTHDAY CARD
Reveal the card from your sparkly bag, read it aloud, give it to the birthday child and lead everyone in giving them a round of applause.
22. BUBBLES: ‘Look How High We Can Fly’ from the film ‘Barbie: The Princess & The Popstar’ Play the song and use your bubble machine to create lots of bubbles for the children to pop. You should dance as you do this.
23. PRIZES: ‘True Colors’ performed by Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick
Play the track and give each child some magic sparkles and a Haribo treat. Once you’ve packed up remember to ask one of the birthday child’s parents if you can put a party flyer in each of the party bags and if you can have a photo with the birthday child.
NB: If you did magic tricks during the food break (and therefore have already given out magic sparkles) there is no need to hand out magic sparkles again here. Just hand out the sweets.
