‘Wiegenlied’ performed by Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra

Activities for public classes with parents/carers
It's time for everyone to go to sleep. Play the track and parents rock their child back and forth in time with the music. You demonstrate the movement with your big teddy. After about 30 seconds blow bubbles for the children. The babies look and touch the bubbles as the music plays. Hand out scarves for the next activity whilst the music is still playing and gradually turn down the volume until there is silence. The length of this activity will depend on how quickly you have moved through previous activities. Including 30 seconds of listening is better than not including listening at all.

Explain to the children that you are going to be playing a lullaby which is a special song that mummies and daddies sing to make babies go to sleep. Hand each child a scarf and they pretend it is a baby by cradling it and gently rocking it to sleep to the pulse.
Same as for toddlers
big teddy (babies only), bubbles & coloured scarves

Same activities as for 'Wiegenlied' except you can choose to play this live. It doesn't matter which key you play the song in as it is intended for listening. If you would like to perform the song live, you can skip the bubbles or ask another adult to create them for you.
