PHILOSOPHY & OBJECTIVES
Our understanding and ideas:
• A series of 27 individually designed homes catered to maximise the potential
of each site, which set a new benchmark for sustainable living, comfort and
quality.
• A development which can co-exist with, and promote the growth of the native
habitat, in particular the local flora and fauna found at the nearby Ocean
Grove Nature Reserve
• Design which is sympathetic to, and responds visually to the Wallington/Ocean
Grove area through material selection and form.
• Homes that prioritise functionality, with an emphasis on enhancing the
‘everyday,’ whilst enabling multi-generational living which caters to a broader
target demographic.
• Reducing the carbon footprint of typical construction through sourcing
materials which have low emodied energy and recyclability .
• Minimising waste by designing to millimetre precision for manufacturing.
