Dr. Geoff Buck - Consultant & Instructor - Biography
Dr. Geoff Buck has over 35 years’ experience as an occupational hygiene and environmental consultant.
Dr. Buck has worked as an independent consultant, a consultant for a major national consultancy group and as a consultant and part time lecturer associated with the Environmental Science Unit of the University of Dublin (Trinity College), where he also taught Environmental Chemistry to the MSc students.
He is a chartered environmentalist and a chartered biologist. He is also a registered environmental biologist and a registered expert witness. He is also a founder member and an ex director of the Source Testing Association.
During this time, he has undertaken numerous projects including:
◆ Provision of professional training courses and lectures in; Sampling of Stationary Sources,
Occupational Hygiene, Chemical Toxicology & Water Quality; to many organisations including BFIA, SCRATA, IHCT, CIEH, EEF, IOSH, HMIP, BEBOH, WIMMM, Universities Safety Assoc, Mobil Oil -
on behalf of Casella (London) Ltd, and Aspen Environmental.
◆ Environmental consultancy services including IPPC permit application and Liaison with the Environment Agency.

Geoff’s achievements to date are numerous, and include:
◆ Stationary Source Emissions, Air Quality Sampling & Assessment, Dust Deposition, Toxic Effects of Industrial Chemicals, Occupational Hygiene, Odour Assessment & Abatement, Occupational & Environmental Noise. Dispersion modelling from industrial sites and point sources for a number of organisations covering various industry sectors.
