20. Burnin’

                                  Bonsoir Bleu…

         I whispered as I saw you close your eyes to a peaceful place.

         One far from me cause of the cold war I brought towards us.

                 I needed Bleu‟s lap dance better that Dandy‟s

                          As all I saw were dandelions.

         I felt their petals on my sides, tingling every bit of my being

             With their sweet, smoked nectar dripping on my lips

                   Leaving me breathless although complete.

                    I got burned though, by the fire inside me

          With my land being bruised and ashed for the sake of truth.

                            A truth that came as a fog,

                               But now clear as day.

          I was afraid of burning, even though the scars were bluntly
                                       visible

             How do I escape this cage built on pleas and comfort?

          With lingering rabbit paced heartbeats running through the
                                        night.

                 I sat in their melodies, listening to their hearts,

                       Trying to pace them with my own.
