This is to all the lucky encounters and beautiful moments I got here.
To the time I decided to go to the other side of the earth for no good reason...
To Kennedy buffaloes and hippies, to all these surprising nights, from the hygiene talks to the late discussions and the
midnight gatherings. Machi, open the bottle (not the one under the desk) !!!
To the religious education classes that lead to a first car drive, ending with a night and a Grandma that could have
gotten me expelled. To the forbidden lake walks and its beautiful trees that made us dream of a trip from the tip of
India... To all the different kind of "tea" times and the unnecessary but very necessary long talk with the four of us and
all the others, having the obligation to wear blue socks and go to Spencer's to meet some strangers because there are
Cadbury in our nuts and the Nutella is over. Beautiful sunset in Kerala, the beginning of something and a moment that
we would talk about for years. To the late night revelations under a sky that has no stars even though we think it
does… The evenings spent listening to sad Hindi songs staring at the view and coming back to dorm unnecessarily late
because we think we are "cool". To all the heads-up and the people that make fun of my accent and use the verb "to
agress", to the Box even though I don’t take theater, to the games of bluff, the chopsticks and twin day. To the times The people I have met in my 12 years at Kodai,
when I should have worn sweatpants to formals. To the plans to escape an unwanted marriage. To all the time spent will never be people I will ever forget.
in bendy running after a ball or in a circle, pointless but unforgettable moments and people. To way too early runs and
philosophical lessons. To Ooty and the bonds it built along with the best birthday gifts: a random roommate and the Jakob, Domi, Aydn, Rohaan, Jake, Kushaal,
most fun football games. To Poondi and its nights that made no sense. To the Jewish conspiracy and the bus's deep Ishan, Ayush, Raehannah, Eira, Arjun, Awad,
talks, to Sukshima, Fukuoka, Johnny and all the funny guys... Isn't it so cool that we are all from different countries but Pdog, Nathan, Sashwath, Ziarul, Shreeni,
we all met here in Tamil Nadu on the top of a hill? It almost sounds like an experiment… If it is then thanks to the one Shreyas.
that came up with it :)) - Marie
All the memories that we have made together
are some that I will never forget. Thank you all!
