“It’s going to be fine,” mummy told me as I packed my bags to join a new boarding school. I was
an introverted (still am) kid from Bombay who did not know anyone from the school and anything
about the place. Not trying to sound magical or anything, but entering Kodi school was like entering a
‘new world.’ Unlike HFS, you could wear any outfit to school. You could sit anywhere in a class. You
could even wear any color glasses. I longed to go back home, but soon I started calling Kodi my
‘home.’ This would not have been possible without a few peeps that I met here, who changed my life
(not an overstatement).
Mr. Robert: My director, my mentor, and my best friend. Today people see the confident and

vibrant Nandini only because of the lessons you taught me. I would not have been Dorothy, Tzeitel,
Calista, Mama Ogre, Gayle, Marian Paroo, and ‘J’ill Slank if it wasn’t for you. From the cozy ‘Box’
classes to the anger-filled rehearsals, thank you for everything.
P Pagar: You motivated me to always believe in myself and go and apply to those big colleges,

regardless of what the others said. You also came to all my theatre performances and cheered me on
and despite being so different from me, you’ve always been there.
P.S. Stop being so violent and having so much 5-star and Dairy Milk.
Y Yellow: From hearing all my rants to motivating me before my every college interview, I can’t

imagine my high school without you. From stealing my kajukatlis to teasing me about my Korean
speaking skills, you’re annoying habits made me laugh soo much. And my Viral Doshi tutoring went
all down the drain when you forgot to carry a calculator to your SAT exam. But all of it was still
worth it.

S Sharanjay: My Nepali brother. From witnessing all your weird hairstyles (even the bald one) to
y
helping you with literally every maths exam, it feels so good to call you one of my best friends ever.
Sorry for teasing you so much with ‘ahem ahem’ and insulting your ‘excellent’ laptop. Despite your
hatred for BTS, I will still always annoy you, even when you become a big UN man.

D Domi: Save the best for the last. I’ve known you for the past five years and you made Kodi Kodi for

me. You’ve always taken all my scoldings with a smile and have supported me through ALL my
decisions. You are the most hard working and committed person I have ever met and your
humbleness tops all of it. Honestly, a paper is not enough for writing about you so I’m just going to
say that I love you and I’ll always be there for you.
Lastly, to all my other friends: Shrutti, Achyutha, Parmita, Parth, Ashok, Aydn, and Omeir, and
many more…thank you guys for making high school such a fun experience! And to my juniors:
Parnas, Vihaan, and Zangmo…thank you for teaching me how to ‘chill.’ Parnas, don’t let the Peter
Pan out of you any time soon and Zangmo, don’t let go off Suga.
I guess “it was all fine in the end.”

Kodi. The last 3.5 years was inarguably the best time of my life. Class of 2020, I love each and every one of you, whether you are here
reading this or not. I hate to sound corny, but I could never have asked for a better class to go through the crazy ride that we went
through.
To Ms. Saji & Mr. Varghese, Mr. Regi & Ms. Mary, and every single one of you guys that made Bartlett West my home away from
home, thank you. Dorm was always a place where I could feel comfortable even while doing the stupidest of things. A special shout
out to my Hyderabadi roomies for the best room ever.
I know I’ll miss Kodi and everything about it, even more, that so I do now. The people, the town, the freaking skies, and just everything
about it. There were tough times and agonising bits, but now I would give up anything to do it all over again. For everyone who made
Kodi even more special for me,
I’m sorry I couldn’t do a better, more though out writeup (you know me :3) but I hope we’re still in touch whenever you’re reading this.
Whether it be your first time reading this, or your first time reading it in a couple of decades :) Class of 2020 and Kodi, words cannot
express my love for you, but I think that numbers can, 20/20
