CAASA ANNOUNCES
PRESIDENT ELECT
AASA president Lynette
CLoosen paid tribute to
the 75 year anniversary cele-
brations held recently by the
organisation at the year-end

“What an incredible year
it has been filled with some
disappointments, some frustra-
tions but mostly many achieve-
ments,” she said.
Amongst those listed she
included the implementation
of a protégé programme as a
succession plan for the orga-
nization, the formation and
behind the scenes efforts of the
Aviation Development Founda- Sean Reitz, president of CUAASA, CAASA’s most valuable affiliate
tion (ADF) and the creation of
sustainable sources of income
for the organization.
“With the start of an AAD
year coming up shortly, I would
like to re-iterate that Africa
Aerospace and Defence 2020
forms an integral part of CAA-
SA’s survival and inadvertently
our ability to serve you. AAD
2020 can only be successful for
commercial and general avia-
tion with your participation.
She paid tribute to the role
of immediate past president, Zamambo Mkhize Air BP, Aviation Excellence
Tracey Eloff, for her invaluable Award with Lynette and Leon Dillman
service to CAASA over the last
year and her support over the
years prior to that as the first
Woman President to CAASA.
