"What was your meaning of Now."

"He was captured at his parent home, to be the human shield
for Viet-Cong and wounded by the Viet Cong's General attack on the
cities at the lunar new year 1968."

Hanh-Phuong raised to the front, opened wide her eyes to look
at Phong.

"What did you said? Nguyen was wounded last year...!"

Phong looked at Hanh-Phuong in his surprise.

"He didn't tell you about what happen to him?"

Hanh-Phuong shook her head.

"No...!"

"He always keeps silence for his lover even his family and thinks
a lot of things. He was wounded on his neck by a small piece of an
anti-tank rocket and nearly to die. He had few times die then alive
again in a cold night, and he got help from the Regional soldier. He
was okay now after four months in the Ban-me-Thuot military
hospital." Suddenly Phong stared at Hanh-Phuong and added: "But
he should let you know after all...!"

Hanh-Phuong shook her head with her moist eyes.

"No.. I am not... Just friend only."

Phong had wonder voice.

"Why are you sobbing for?" Phong asked.

"I don't know..." In a sorrow voice, Hanh-Phuong replied.
