Then Came the Glory
to their leaders.
At a meeting in Woyecho for Evangelists and
Auxiliaries in October 1992, two denominational churches
brought us food, saying, "We will help you feed your
guests." They came pretending friendliness, but they had put malathine (poison) in the food. We had to take sixteen people
who ate that food to the doctor with severe poisoning. One
of our brothers testified. "Since we cannot identify the guilty
ones, we will leave vengeance to God. We must be alert and not allow jealousy in our hearts, because jealousy is
dangerous. That is why Satan killed Jesus and he will not
pardon us who follow Jesus Christ."
Since the police know these people's plan to fight us,
we always notify them about our conferences. Now, they send forces to encircle us with protection until the last service. The miracles that bring many to the Lord continue
unabated.
Ato Bolka Lemasso of the Sidamo tribe served as a
member of parliament under the reign of Haile Selasse; he
entertained the King at the cultural center he built at his own
expense in Midregenet, Shebedino Province. Even today he is highly respected and very popular. On August 26 he went
from his home to the Evangelical Church. When he reached the gate, he suddenly became blind and lost his direction. When he tried to enter the gate, everything became black before him. He tried to look right and left and could only see the Leku Apostolic church quite far away. Since darkness covered his church, he turned away from the gate and walked toward the Apostolic church. When he reached its gate, he knelt and prayed and wanted to go home, but the
darkness returned and Brother Jugsa's son took him by the hand and led him home.
