Then Came the Glory
On September 15 he gave an ultimatum, "If you go to that church again, I will not allow you to ever enter this
house...". Before he could finish his speech Satan threw him to the floor with paralyzed limbs and his words ended in a scream. When death seemed eminent, the Orthodox priest came and prayed as he sprinkled water on him, but he remained bound. They took him to other places for treatment in vain.
When the priests saw he is near death one said, "Your house is unclean because of the Pentes, we cannot come and pray for you after you die. You should go to your
other daughter's home who is Orthodox and die there so we can pray for you better."
"I perceive you cannot help me; you are no benefit to me. How dare you tell me go out of my house before I die. I forbid you to ever come to my house again and don't bury me in your graveyard when I die. Use your prayers for yourself, but from this day on I am a member of the Apostolic Church."
He immediately sent for the leaders of the church; God healed him through their prayers and he now worships Jesus freely with his family.
Getu Melkamu, a teacher, had a nervous breakdown and became totally insane. His family took him to wizards and holy waters to no avail and finally committed him to the mental hospital in Addis Ababa. After seven years they
brought him home and put him bound with chains in a locked room, but his yelling and screaming disturbed the whole
neighborhood.
One day he broke the chains and escaped from the
room and went berserk-he beat several people and injured others before the people could catch him and bind him again
