LIGHT IN THE EVENING TIME
Papa Toshe Bechu's Story
I grew up in a family where the power of sin reigned
supreme. My faAer, brothers, and all my relatives operated as magicians, sorcerers, and diviners sacrificing to demons.
I inherited this evil and received extensive training in it,
knowing no alternatives.
I asked my father to give me a virgin piece of land
so I could make my own sacrifices to Satan. What a cruel master he is! Satan rewarded my service to him with unlimited poverty, distress, suffering of spirit, soul and body.
From childhood a dreadful disease shackled me that
grew progressively worse from day to day. My family got weary of caring for me and when their efforts at cures failed they almost abandoned me. I lost weight until I became skin and bones and could not even turn over in the bed. They fastened two ropes to the roof rafters to help me change my
position in the bed.
In a period of slight improvement I married. In spite
