 Witnesses with Power
After a long span of spiritual darkness, some of us went from Sodo to Addis Ababa for school or work. Here God directed us to the Apostolic Church where we found salvation; were baptized in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost, and received a revelation of the mystery of God in Christ. Then, we prayed zealously for the fire of the Gospel to be lit in Butajira.
A word came to us from Ezekiel 2:6,7: And thou,
son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their
words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thm dost
dwell among scorpions: be not cfraid of their words, nor be
dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will
hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
And chapter 3:11: And go, get thee to them of the
ccptivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them. Thus saith the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
As the message came, we went. We enjoyed our
fellowship with each other in our own land and took joy in
wimessing. Some received the Word and obeyed the baptism. Since only a few came out of the kingdom of darkness, we had no opposition.
We attended great conferences in Kembattya and
Hadya Province and God gave a serious call through Brother Tekle for men to separate themselves for the ministry. The
Lord touched my heart, so I took my place standing with the others. The leaders and the congregation prayed for us and
my heart filled with zeal. The Lord revealed to some of the brothers what He would do in Butajira, and dreams and
visions came to me of my separation for the ministry. 157
