As I Remember.

Because we had not learned the authority of the
church, we said defiantly, "God created us and called us,
though men may say we cannot preach, we wil preach
anyway."
We made our decision to work outside the unity of
the church ignoring this scripture:.
Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shal bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall
loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). The words of Jesus began working on us and did not allow us to go free. In the period of separation from the church, thmgs went all right for three years, though my
brothers blamed me for my previous efforts to make peace.
They denounced me bitterly saying, "You brought us into danger saying peace and unity."
Their words made me sad, but I could not feel condemned for following the leading of the Holy Ghost.
In our determination to work in one accord, we
forgot the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 12:28: And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily
prophets, thirdly teachers, cfier that miracles, then gifts of hedings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
And John 20:23: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained
We did not have success.
