Then Came the Glory
As time passed and more of their saints came daily to the Apostolic church, they held a meeting conspiring
against me. Two hot-tempered men volunteered to murder me with a knife. But as they approached they saw the angel
of the Lord standing by me with a drawn sword in his hand. When He rebuked Aem, they fell on their knees in
repentance and today they are good, faithful servants of the Lord.
Psalms 34:7: The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them
These words have brought us deliverance many times. Over and over we have seen supernatural deliverance
wrought by God's ministering army who protect us and work against the evil doers.
Religious leaders hired killers and thieves to harass us. They broke in the roof of our church, but it did not stop
a flood of their people coming to us nor stop the angel's
smiting them.
After EPRDF came to power and we had religious
freedom, they saw they could not win the people with the Bible. Fearing to lose more people, ten organizations came
together to fight us, even to beating the people with rods. But the government understood their conspiracy and warned
them in public meetings in Awassa and Ambo.
Pastors of a church in Melge Wondo disobeyed the
warning from the government and terrorized the church with a fusillade of shots. When the saints came out, they beat and
severely wounded both men and women, but the government and outsiders stood with us against them. The next day a
large number of their members and their choirs denounced the deeds of their leaders and came to us. We saw that
Romans 8:28 is still true: All things work together for good. 50
