In order to understand the word "hermeneutics", you haYe to first understand that English is actually an international language. The words in our English dictionaries come from many sow:ces to
include Latin, Greek and even Hebrew. When you want to look up an Old Testament word, you have to go the Hebrew dictionary and when you want to look up a New Testament word, you ha\-e to go to the Greek dictionary. This is because the Bible was not written i.n English. The original languages of the Bible are Hebrew, Aratnaic,
and Greek.
