D. DIE 1 A.NIE OF 'GESIS"
Acts 14:11-12 (Amplified Bible)

"Hermeneutically accurate" means to interpret the scripture correctly. "Homiletically natural", means to preach the style that i
natural to )our personality and disposition and "apologetically convincing", is preaching a message that will encourage the saint to straighten up and fly right and the sinner to come in and get saved. When preaching is done like it is supposed to be done, the sinner is evangelized, the saint is edified and the Lord is glorified.
The tragedy in Christendom today is that there is ,-ery little true preaching going on. I say that because anytime you don't hear Jesus in the sermon, you haven't heard anything. If a preacher doesn't touch on the cross, repentance or the blood of Jesus, what did he really talk about? In the 50's and 60's women wore a 1nodest, but popular piece of clothing called a "sack dress". It was a loose, unbelted dress that hung straight from the shoulder to the hemline.
Today's preaching reminds me of that dress, it covers everything and don't touch nothing. Even when the preacher is touching nothing, he can still get an immature crowd of people to start doing the chicken neck and dancing around the room.
