                     c.  Ladoga, New Market, New Ross, & Waveland consolidate to form Southmont.

                     e.  John Cripe (Flora) is named to the Silver Anniversary Team.
                     f.  Wally Reimann (Crawfordsville), Maurice Chadwick (Crawfordsville ’21), Joe  Dienhart
                         (Lafayette Jeff ’22), Charlie Cummings (former Head Coach @ Crawfordsville) are elected to
                         the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

     1972: Garry Kamstra (Rossville) is named to the Indiana All-Star Team & will attend the University  of Cincinnati on
              a basketball scholarship.

                     b.  Alonzo Goldsberry (Wingate ‘20) is elected to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.

     1973: Lafayette Central Catholic ends Lafayette Jeff’s streak of 29 consecutive Sectional   championships.  Jeff’s
              streak stands as the current state record.

                     January 20 , 1973: Pat Manahan (Delphi) scores 55 points v. Williamsport to set the   area’s single
                                                      game scoring record.
                     a.  Pat Manahan (Delphi) leads the state in scoring w/ a 34.9 ppg average.  He will be   named to
                         the Indiana All-Star Team & will attend Purdue & Colorado State to play basketball.
                     b.  Pine Village, Seeger Memorial, & Williamsport consolidate to form the current  version of Seeger
                         Memorial.
                     c.  Bob Masters (Lafayette Jeff) is named to the Silver Anniversary Team.
                     d.  Kirby Overman (Head Coach @ New Albany & former Head Coach @ Benton  Central) is
                         named Assistant Coach for the Indiana All-Star Team.
                     e.  Elmer McCall (Frankfort ’34), Jesse Wood (Bedford ’06 & former Head Coach @   Wingate)
                         are elected to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
                     f.  The Journal & Courier begins publishing an annual “All-Area” team.
