Countless hours of

                                             Waiting……

Flight delayed for countless hours…. I look down at the brown

watch that had been given to me on my birthday by my

mother. It was already 1 pm and I was supposed to be on the

plane ready to fly to Indonesia. But instead, I was stuck at

Nepal’s airport waiting lounge till god knows when. “Ugh,” I

screamed to myself, frustrated. My bottom was starting to

hurt because of the couch that was as hard

as iron. I looked around the lounge area.

         Dozens of people scrambled

         here and there, rushing to

         board their flights.

         The vents and air

conditioning seemed to have stopped working as I was

dripping with hot, sticky sweat. The people who rushed

around left a disgusting, stuffy, stinky smell behind. The type

to make anyone gag. It felt like the air was suffocating me,

not letting me breathe at all. As I sat on the white couch that

had been so worn out, I looked around the room. The walls

seemed to be caving in, paint chipping off of them and

random paintings hung up to cover the messy holes.

“How beautiful,” I wondered. The tiles were slippery and

soapy with mud and footprints were carved throughout the

pathway. The duty-free shops seemed to be busy selling their

overpriced goods. As much as I hate airport shopping sprees,

I was hungry. I went into one of the shops and picked up the

                                                                                                                 29
