and a can of soda. I
sat on a steel chair,
plugged my earphones in, and
tried to enjoy my rock music and
snack.However, I was shortly interrupted.
My phone’s battery had died. Frantically,
I looked for a portable power bank in my purse.
Unable to find one, I literally wanted to die. Without
my phone, I felt so helpless. I adjusted my zebra patterned
neck pillow around my neck and tried to sleep. Through the rush,
announcements, and chaos my brain could hardly fall asleep. I
was impatiently looking at my smart watch hoping for my flight
attendant to make an announcement but my flight seemed to be
delayed forever.
It had already been three hours. Three horrible and long
hours. I had tried everything to entertain myself. Literally
everything. Completely exhausted, I lay my head against the
back of the couch and flipped through some magazines. I
was almost dozing off when I heard it. “Attention all
passengers, flight to Indonesia, B215 please board now,” I
swear I had to pinch myself to believe it was real. I quickly
got up to my feet, collected my things and skipped happily
towards my gate after four boring hours of waiting. This trip
had not even started and had already tested my patience. So
much for a relaxing getaway!...
