I felt the breeze brush across my face as I

jogged lightly toward the tall oak tree in the A Moment
vast garden. Stretching my legs comfortably
across the grass, I laid my back against the
wall-like tree trunk of the Oak. My heart filled of
with joy as the tree offered me a welcome
break from the fettering pressures of studying.

Upon my arrival, the sun had just risen and Stillness

ignited the horizon, causing it to burst into a
brilliant combination of yellow and scarlet. The
sky was cloud-free, and the majestic ball of fire Under the shade of the tree, I felt calm
reigned supreme. The colors of the sky and rather drowsy, despite the miasma of
perfectly complemented the colors of the exuberance in the garden. Engulfed by

scenery. As I gazed into its ineffable splendor, I the tranquility and harmony of nature, I
felt as if I was looking at a Van Gogh reminisced my lovely childhood memories
masterpiece come to life. in this very garden, under this very Oak
                                                                      tree.
The garden was alive and well in the absence
of human intervention. The lush greenery of As a sharp wave of cool breeze whipped
the landscape in front of me struck my eyes. my body, I opened my eyes. I didn’t
The sweet scent of the plants filled the air and realize how fast time had flown by. The

wafted through my nostrils. The iridescent sun sun had hidden behind the fluffy clouds
beamed down and radiated its luminescence and the dark clouds had loomed in. The
onto every inch of the garden, except for the breeze began to grow in strength and
shadows under the tree that covered me like a trees began to sway fiercely. It was as if
cloak. It felt like a haven, shielding me from the trees were telling me that it was time

the scorching heat. to leave mother nature alone, free of
human interference. But I didn’t want to

The trees swayed in synchronism as if it were a leave this serene place. I begged the tree
choreographed dance. I let my eyelids rest, and to let me stay a little longer.
immediately my ears picked up on the sounds
of nature. An orchestra of birds chirped in “Just 15 more minutes, please. I’ll leave
unison to a melody that soothed my ears. The after that. I promise ”, I whispered to the
leaves fluttered like snowflakes as a gentle Oak tree. So, for 15 more minutes, I

breeze blew through them. closed my eyes and felt the moment of
                                                                      stillness around me.
