General Instructions
1. Shipment of alcoholic beverages into Florida must comply with state regulations. Please refer to the letter we have
included from Thomas R. Philpot, Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Director Division of
Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco. His letter indicates: Shipments for this event should be made through a Florida
distributor. In the event a participating supplier does not have an established distributor relationship or is unable
to make distributor arrangements for the purpose of this conference, the Division approves direct shipping to
the conference facility via common carrier. Please be advised that Florida excise taxes must be paid upon all
products brought into the hotel. To assist you with this task the appropriate tax form, “Application for and
Permit to Import Alcoholic Beverages” is enclosed for you to complete and file with Florida DBPR Division
of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco.
2. EXEMPT BRANDS: The top 30 best-selling brands are “exempt” from SKU counts. Please consult the previous
page of this brochure which displays the “NABCA Executive Analysis, Distilled Spirits Top 50 Brands”, only the top

have regarding Exempt Brands call Robin Dubendorf directly on 703-578-5511.
