ALCHESTER SURGERY.

Alchester Surgery recently implemented
Golden Tote, a cutting-edge semi-
automated dispensing solution.
Considering this, Linda Mills, the
Dispensary Manager, and Graham Sewell,
a dispenser at the practice, sat down to
discuss the adoption of Golden Tote and
its impact within the practice.

The journey with Golden Tote began when, Linda
Mills and Graham Sewell, discovered the system
through promotional material in the PSUK
magazine. Intrigued by its potential to reduce
stock levels, minimise medicine waste, and
maximise shelf space, the team embarked on a
thorough exploration of its features and benefits.
Upon this a demo was booke. Linda expressed
the importance of the first-hand experience,
saying “Seeing the system in action convinced
our team that Golden Tote was the right choice
for us.” Linda also points out the significance of
the visual demonstration in addressing concerns
about transitioning to dispensing to multiple
individuals simultaneously. “The demo provided
reassurance,” she adds, “and helped us overcome
any uncertainties about changing our workflow.”
This practical experience played a key role in
shaping their decision.
Therefore, central to their decision-making
process was the recognition of Golden
Tote’s ability to dispense to multiple patients
simultaneously. While initially apprehensive about
deviating from traditional dispensing practices,
the team soon recognised the inherent efficiency
and error-reducing capabilities of this approach.
