Using ePACT2 to

understand your PAs.

It’s interesting how much information we have at our
fingertips yet we access and use so little.
A question. How many of you use ePACT2 data? Is that a stoney
silence? Or a murmur of a few yes’s?
Well for those of you who are not familiar with ePACT2 let’s have a
quick lesson in how you can use the platform to view your PA items.
ePACT2 is a data website provided by the NHSBSA. It gives
authorised users access to prescription data and allows you to:

Access Build
easy to use bespoke
interactive Look at high level analysis Export data
reports and data summaries from reports
dashboards down to individual and dashboards.
prescription item
and patient level
detail

You need to register in order to access the data but that is easy.

Once you are logged into the main site you need to click onto the
ePACT2 site. Here you will find various valuable information sources.
The one I want to show you for PAs is in the Prescribing reports.
