be deployed to assist in the future model of
community pharmacy practice, mainly the
expansion of scanning technology and how that
prepares us, for at some point across all four for
the UK countries, the prescription supply process
becoming paperless.
The team at Numark are looking to consider
what the implications of that are and support
the network where electronic transmission of
prescriptions is introduced. For example, at the
recent Numark Welsh Advisory board, we were
given a clear steer to have support materials
and the areas of the pharmacy operation
that will need to be reviewed ready for the
introduction of the electronic prescription
service.
This foreword should show that Numark
is considering all the potential legislative
implications on your behalf and it’s trying
its best to deliver what you require.
