A conversation with Sarah

Sainsbury and Julie Darley

For two decades, PSUK has been the trusted partner and leading membership
organisation for dispensing doctors, evolving with the changing landscape
of healthcare to support its members in sustaining their future. With over
100 years of collective dispensing doctor experience within the PSUK team,
knowledge and dedication sit at the heart of everything we do. To mark this
milestone, we sat down with two of we sat down with our two longest serving
dispensing doctor account managers, Sarah Sainsbury, and Julie Darley, to reflect
on PSUK’s journey, its commitment to members, and what the future holds.
A rapidly evolving landscape
The landscape of dispensing doctors has transformed dramatically over
the years. Julie Darley, an accomplished account manager with 37 years of
experience, recalls the early days:
“When I first started, account meetings were simple. We’d bring printed sheets
with special offers, and data protection wasn’t even a thing. Now, it’s all about
detailed business reviews and bespoke advice.”
Sarah Sainsbury, who has been with PSUK for 15 years, adds,

“We’ve gone from handwritten reports to sophisticated

digital tools like our loss-making report. It’s been a journey

of constant adaptation to ensure we’re providing the most
up-to-date and actionable insights for our members.”
