Scotland
Similarly to the Pharmacy First Service in England
and Northrn ireland, both sinusitis and sore throats
can be treated as part of the service.
Reimbursement includes a base payment for each
pharmacy contractor, plus payment for each activity
your team carries out—whether that’s advice, referral,
or treatment.
If your pharmacy carries out 100 or more interventions in
a month, you’ll receive an additional payment on top of the
standard reimbursement.
You’ll also be reimbursed for items supplied from the
Approved List, which is published in Part 17 of the
Scottish Drug Tariff.
Northern Ireland
Although you cannot actively promote NHS services in Northern Ireland,
letting your patients know that you are available to treat and give advice
during the winter months is vital. This could come under the Pharmacy
First Services, or by delivering private services.
Check out our private services
profitability calculator to determine how profitable it is running
private services in your pharmacy, such as pneumonia and chickenpox
