                 Category M update
                 Category M refers to a section of the UK Drug Tariff that sets the reimbursement prices for over 600
                 commonly used generic medicines. These prices are calculated by the Department of Health and Social
                 Care (DHSC) with the Reimbursement adjusted each quarter to ensure that pharmacy and dispensing
                 doctor’s profit from drugs purchases remain at £900 million annually across the sector.


                 The latest Cat M adjustments for July are summarised below.

                 Ipsen - reduction in MDS on Decapeptyl
                 As of 15 August 2025, Ipsen are reducing the MDS available on Decapeptyl (Triptorelin) from 20% to
                        th
                 11.18%. This change means that in terms of profitability Decapeptyl now breaks even once clawback is
                 take in to account.

                 There are two other GnRH Analogues available that are profitable.

                 Staladex (Leuprorelin) attracts a 50% MDS rebate via the Aspire Pharma scheme.
                 And both strengths of Zoladex (Goserelin) attract a 22.5% rebate through the AstraZeneca MDS.
