Thornton & Ross - inhalers added to scheme
As of 1 July, Thornton & Ross added their Proxor range and Trokide range of inhalers to their scheme.

The Proxor (Formoterol/Beclometasone) range now attracts an 11% rebate.

Prescribing Proxor by the brand name, may not be a profitable option, but can save the NHS £19.42 per
pack.

The Trokide (Tiotropium) range attracts a 12% rebate so is profitable whether you prescribe generically or
by brand name.

However, prescribing by brand can save the NHS up to £25.00 per pack.

We do need to inform you that there is a standard monthly rebate cap in place on Trokide and Proxor of 20
packs per product.

Ferndale - new products added to scheme
From 1 August, Ferndale are adding LMX4 4% Cream (30g) and LMX4 4% Cream (12 x5g) plus 24

Dressings to their scheme.
The two new additions join LMX4 4% Cream (5g) on the Ferndale scheme, with all three products now
attracting a 30% MDS rebate.

The below table highlights various Local Anaesthetics that members may currently be using, with the LMX4
range being the only profitable option.

All PSUK members are automatically signed up to the Ferndale scheme, so the below rebates will be
calculated automatically.
