Doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself. I

find it difficult to believe that we're already into
March of 2025 and I have now completed my first
year as Chairman of Numark. That anniversary
has caused me to reflect on what has been
achieved over the last 12 months.

During the early days of my tenure, I identified six areas that
I wanted to have an impact on for Numark. Those were and
interestingly enough remain, its identity, the brand, the horizons to
look to, its voice, growth and the structure to help deliver that.

You'll see in my later article what I believe has been achieved and
to contribute to those six areas. These themes will themselves
form the basis of the next year for Numark, just with a different
focus as the initial foundations have been laid. You'll see already
this year that we have delivered some new and novel propositions
for our Numark members, with more in the pipeline which I look
forward to telling you about over the coming months.

It will be interesting to see how all the community pharmacy
contracts develop in the four devolved country NHS systems of
the UK. During 2024 they continued to diverge in how things are
delivered. The advent of this year's pharmacy students graduating
from university as independent prescribers will again cause us all
to consider how this best supports patients and the network to
move to the next model of community pharmacy practice. I look
forward to working with you all to make that a reality.
