Introducing Rhys Martin

Background and Experience in the
Pharmacy Market

‘’My journey in the pharmacy field began at the age
of 16 when I started working for my uncle's pharmacy
in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, during the summers.
This experience ignited my passion for a career that
blended a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
with caring for people. I pursued a master's degree in
pharmacy and subsequently joined Lloydspharmacy as
a pre-registration pharmacist.

‘’Over the course of 16 years at Lloydspharmacy, I held
diverse roles, starting as a pharmacist and manager
before transitioning to field management as an area
manager. I continued to grow within the organisation,
moving to the central operations team as a project
manager and eventually becoming the Head of Central
Operations and latterly ran the south of the UK as a
"
regional manager.
‘’I joined Rowlands just over four years ago as Head Of
Operations, South and just over two years ago took on
the challenge of running the whole branch network for
Rowlands as Head of Pharmacies. During my time at
Rowlands, I had the opportunity to serve as a PSNC
committee member for over two years.
‘’This journey has led me back to my origins, as
I now hold the position of Head of Proposition
for Numark. This role enables me to support our
members in providing care to their communities,
much like my uncle did.

With over 16 years of experience in

the pharmacy industry, Rhys Martin

joins Numark as Head of Propositions.
