We are delighted to announce that from 1st July 2024, PHOENIX will enter a 2 Reduced Wholesale Model
agreement for distribution of AstraZeneca’s portfolio of medicines in the UK, meaning for PSUK members,
the portfolio is available to order through your PSUK account.
The AstraZeneca MDS scheme has been simplified and will now be managed and paid through your PSUK
account.
The new scheme makes it easier for dispensing practices to manage and track rebates at product level and
calculate profitability.
Some of the discounts (detailed below) are subject to tiered bands, volumes will not be aggregated across
different wholesalers, so it is important you put your AstraZeneca purchases through PSUK to ensure you
maximise the discount available to you.
Splitting spend between different wholesalers could result in you missing discount bands and a reduction in
MDS discount.
Sign up to the AZ MDS scheme is automatic – so there is no action needed from members.
