The funding is structured in three ways:

Training requirements onwards

There are no specific training requirements, however the pharmacist and pharmacy
staff providing the service must be competent in all aspects of the service including
clinical pathways, clinical protocols and PGDs for each of the conditions; and in the
use of the otoscope supporting the clinical pathway for managing acute otitis media.

Also to remain up to date with specific skills and knowledge, relevant to their role and
aspects of the service being delivered.
