Margin squeeze has been felt by pharmacies
for some time with tightening of contractual
funding, increased purchase prices and tough
competition, along with being hit by the cost of
living crisis.
As you know, one area in which you may feel the
squeeze will be through Category M. Category M
was introduced into the Drug Tariff in April 2005
when the new community pharmacy contractual
framework was launched.
