Some tips around
Generic
Purchasing
from our PSUK Sales
Controller Richard Fenwick.
The price you see on the portal
is not the price you pay
I wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a happy
new year and offer some hints and tips around your generic
purchasing that should stand you in good stead for 2024.
As a PSUK member, you will have access to an exclusive
generic proposition called Active Price Management
(APM). In today’s fast paced world where dispensaries are
rarely fully staffed, time is of the essence, and knowing you
will get our best price is really important. APM can allow
your teams to focus on patient care and allocate their
time on other more profitable areas to generate income
such as reviewing branded spends alongside our boost
tables. We use our purchasing power to source generics
at competitive prices and ring fence that stock, via
our KEYS proposition, for dispensing practices. APM is
a rebate proposition which means you pay a start price
for generics and then get reimbursed back to our best price
with additional loyalty bonuses. The APM generic proposition
continues to be one of the most competitive propositions in
the market due to our ability to offer consistency of a rank
1 product. Whist the percentage discount of your basket on
generics is likely to be 25-26% off the screen price, individual
differences within this mean that you cant apply that logic to
induvial lines.
