4. Fighting or threatening violence in the workplace.
5. Sexual or other unlawful or unwelcome harassment.
6. Possession of dangerous or unauthorized materials, such as
explosives or firearms, in the workplace.
7. Unauthorized use of telephones, mail system or other employer-
owned equipment.
8. Unauthorized disclosure of business “secrets” or confidential
information.
Such behavior may result in disciplinary action, up to and including
termination of employment. The above list is not all-inclusive list of
behaviors that could violate the Company’s rules of conduct.
Giving and Receiving Gifts/Money
An employee may not accept or give anything of value for
official position, opinion, or action or non-performance of a legal duty
or for purposes of attempting to influence any other public official or
employee in the exercise of an official action. A “thing of value” does
not mean a campaign contribution properly received and reported.
Employees may accept meals and refreshments if they are infrequent,
of nominal value, and in connection with business.
Employees should inform anyone doing or desiring to do business with
Precision Underground that all gifts of more than a nominal value are
prohibited. If an employee receives a gift or a benefit of more than a
nominal value, the employee must report it promptly to the General
Manager. The item must be returned or donated to a suitable charity.
Report of Fraudulent/Significant Dishonest Acts
Fraud is defined as intentional workplace deception by lying,
cheating, and stealing or the use of one’s position with Precision
Underground for personal enrichment through the deliberate misuse or
misapplication of Precision Underground’s resources or assets.
An employee with a reasonable basis for believing that fraudulent or
other significate dishonest acts have occurred in the workplace has a
responsibility to report the suspected act in a timely manner. Reports
should be made to the employee’s immediate supervisor, unless the
